dc.description.abstract	The City of Nyssa will host its Centennial Celebration in the year 2003. By that date the city intends to implement the Nyssa 2003 Main Street Revitalization Plan as an important step toward creating a downtown environment that embraces a community dynamic between historic tradition and emerging opportunities. In order to provide that environment, four goals were established for the plan: provide an attractive Main Street atmosphere for existing and new businesses; create a multiple use Main Street; establish community identity and community pride; provide a focus for efforts to secure funding.
