dc.description.abstract | One of the challenges of reference services is connecting patrons with subject specialists when front-line librarians have done all they can and the specialists aren’t immediately available. Appointment booking software reduces the complexity of this process by enabling patrons and librarians to instantly arrange meetings rather than resort to an endless stream of emails or similar solution. This program reviews scheduling tools available to libraries, address the process of implementing a scheduling system, and discusses some of the major benefits and challenges of such a program. | en_US |
