dc.description.abstract | This research project explores the broad topic of visual arts and its use in medical schools, focusing specifically on Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) as a method. After analyzing the medical school reform and the new curriculum at Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU), I made a set of recommendations for how to create a successful artsbased program for medical students. This research includes explanation of how developing skills using arts-based methods benefits the doctor, patient and society as a whole. | en_US |
