dc.description.abstract | This research project explores ways in which development staff associated with performing arts programs at colleges and universities can involve faculty in the fundraising process. I examined this topic by conducting a case study of the UO School of Music and Dance. Through facilitating a series of four meetings between the School of Music and Dance Development Director and a small group of music and dance faculty, I identified opportunities for faculty participation in certain fundraising activities. I collected data through document analysis, semi-structured interviews, and participant observation. Based on my findings, I make recommendations regarding faculty involvement in fundraising at the UO School of Music and Dance and other performing arts academic units in higher education. | en_US |
